侍 Samurai

Here’s a photo of a photo I took at my friends grandparents house in Japan of some samurai. It was really cool to see this hanging in their tatami room. If I remember, her grandfather said that photo was of the famous samurai of that time.

    That is a very famous photo of the young guns that brought Japan into the modern era! Good find! The most famous samurai ever, Sakamoto Ryouma is the fourth man from the bottom right, sitting and looking to the left. The seventh on the same row is the young soon to be emperor Meiji himself.
